Presidential spokesman and Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has cited improved road infrastructure and reduced travel times as evidence of the impact of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking during an interview on Arise News on Wednesday June 24, 2026, Onanuga argued that ongoing infrastructure projects are delivering tangible benefits to Nigerians, despite criticisms from opposition figures over the state of the economy and living conditions.
Drawing from his personal experience, the presidential aide said travel between Lagos and his residence in Ajah has become significantly faster as a result of improvements in the nation’s road network.
“I live in Ajah, anytime I go to Lagos and I ask Google Maps how long it will take me to get home, it now tells me one hour and seven minutes, before it was two hours and thirty minutes,” Onanuga said.
He attributed the reduction in travel time to road projects undertaken by the federal government, noting that improved connectivity has made movement easier for commuters and motorists.
According to him, the development reflects the broader impact of the Tinubu administration’s infrastructure agenda, which he said is aimed at improving transportation, boosting economic activity, and enhancing the quality of life for Nigerians.
Onanuga made the remarks while defending the administration’s performance against claims that many Nigerians have not felt the benefits of the government’s reforms.
He maintained that beyond economic statistics, infrastructure projects across the country are producing measurable outcomes that citizens can experience directly, including shorter travel times, improved road conditions, and enhanced access to economic opportunities.
The presidential spokesman further urged critics to look beyond political narratives and assess the administration’s performance through developments taking place across various states, insisting that ongoing reforms are laying the foundation for long-term economic growth and national development.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
