According to a report by The Vanguard on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Pastor Peace Ibiyeomie, the wife of the founder of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie, has sparked a major conversation online after advising married women to avoid close friendships with certain divorced women.
Speaking during a Mother’s Day service in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the cleric warned that the “company you keep” can either sustain or destroy a home.
Specifically, she urged wives to be cautious of divorced women who refuse to reconcile with their former husbands or remarry, but instead spend their time speaking negatively about the institution of marriage. According to her, such negative influences can unknowingly pull down a stable home.
“Do not follow a divorcee as your friend, even if she is your sister,” she stated firmly. She further advised that rather than following their lifestyle, married women should encourage such relatives or friends to either reconcile with their partners or seek a godly remarriage.
The cleric also pointed out what she called “hypocrisy” among some single and divorced women. She claimed that while some publicly dismiss the importance of men and marriage, many of them secretly maintain private affairs.
She shared an account of a woman who eventually confessed the truth to her, admitting that her public stance against men was a lie.
“They keep saying the man is not important. If he is not important, why are you sleeping with him?” she questioned, urging women not to allow the bitterness of a failed marriage to spill over into the lives of others.
She concluded by reminding the congregation that every woman should strive to leave a meaningful legacy that builds up society rather than tearing it down.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
