A Nigerian human rights activist, Efemena Umukoro, has spoken about the corpse of Oghenemine Ogidi who was killed by ASP Nuhu Usman in Effurun, Delta State
In an interview with News Central TV, Umukoro said the police prevented most people from seeing the body of Ogidi to avoid further tension in Warri
Umukoro said Ogidi’s corpse is currently in a government mortuary in Warri and it is safe there. He added that the Delta State Police Command has informed the family of Ogidi that an autopsy will be conducted on the corpse
In Umukoro’s words: “The reason why the police did not take most persons to see the corpse is because if they try that it will increase tension. The corpse is in a government mortuary in Warri, the corpse is very safe and the state police command has asked the family to come up for autopsy”
