Senator Babafemi Ojudu has recounted a strained encounter with former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, shortly after he assumed office as Special Adviser in 2016 under then Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, Ojudu explained that he had visited Lawal’s office to formally pay respect following his appointment, but the meeting took an unexpected turn.
He said that after sitting down during the discussion, Lawal immediately instructed him to stand up, emphasizing that despite their personal relationship, official protocol and hierarchy had to be observed within the office setting. According to Ojudu, Lawal made it clear that his position as SGF placed him in a supervisory role.
Ojudu added that the incident made him uncomfortable, leading him to leave the office immediately. He noted that he never returned for another meeting with Lawal afterward.
In his words, he recalled Lawal saying: “We are friends but I am now your boss; you can’t come to my office and sit down.”
He described the experience as one that reinforced his understanding of hierarchy, discipline, and protocol in public service.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
