According to report by Nigerian Tribune on Saturday, June 6, 2026, former Chairman of Onicha Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, Chief Felix Ogbonna Igboke, has officially left the All Progressives Congress (APC) and returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), bringing with him more than 10,000 supporters as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections begin to gather momentum.

Igboke announced his defection during a PDP stakeholders’ meeting held at Isu Okoma Community School in Onicha LGA.

The former council chairman, who recently stepped down as Ebonyi State Commissioner for Project Monitoring under Governor Francis Nwifuru’s administration, described his return to the PDP as a reunion with a party he played a key role in building over the years.

Speaking before party leaders, members, and supporters, Igboke expressed appreciation to the PDP leadership in Ebonyi, especially the party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii.

He praised Odii’s leadership and described him as a central figure in the party’s efforts to reclaim power in the state. He also thanked the state party executives for welcoming him and his supporters back into the fold.

Reflecting on his political career, Igboke recalled serving in several positions under the PDP, including councillor, development centre coordinator, and local government chairman, before moving to the APC with some allies.

He said his decision to return was driven by a desire to reconnect with the political structure he helped establish.

The former chairman expressed confidence that the arrival of his supporters would strengthen the PDP’s grassroots presence and improve its chances in future elections.

He maintained that the group he was returning with represents a significant political force across Ebonyi communities.

Igboke also criticized the APC leadership, accusing some officials of anti-party activities and manipulating party structures for personal gain.

Despite his grievances, he urged his supporters to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and fully committed to helping the PDP secure victory in the 2027 elections.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
