According to a report by Vanguard on Thursday, April 30, Brazilian forward Endrick has revealed that he would prefer his future child not to pursue a career in football, citing the intense pressure and emotional demands associated with the sport.
Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, the 19-year-old—currently on loan at Olympique Lyonnais from Real Madrid—described professional football as highly demanding. He expressed a desire for his child, expected later this year with his wife Gabriely, to live a more stable and less stressful life.
Endrick explained that his primary wish is for his child to grow into a “good person” and possibly pursue a profession such as medicine or law. He added that he hopes his child will view him simply as a father rather than a global football figure, noting that the sport can be emotionally exhausting and unforgiving.
Reflecting on his personal experiences, Endrick highlighted the challenges of injuries, criticism, and social media scrutiny. He noted that setbacks can be overwhelming and disruptive to a player’s career progression. Recalling a particularly difficult injury period, he said it kept him sidelined from both matches and training, leaving him uncertain about his recovery and long-term performance.
He also spoke candidly about the emotional toll of that phase, admitting that he struggled with fear and frustration during rehabilitation. Despite these challenges, he credited Jude Bellingham for providing support during his early days at Real Madrid. According to Endrick, Bellingham helped him navigate language barriers and offered valuable personal advice, making his transition into the team smoother. He added that the midfielder’s character off the pitch left a lasting impression.
Following limited opportunities at Real Madrid, Endrick has been working to rebuild his confidence during his loan spell in France. Looking ahead, he remains determined to secure a place in Brazil’s national team for the upcoming World Cup under coach Carlo Ancelotti.
While acknowledging the pressures of professional football, Endrick emphasized that he remains committed to his career, with a current focus on consistent performances for Lyon and contributing to Brazil’s success on the international stage.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor.
