BREAKING: Reactions Trail Festus Keyamo’s Comment As Mamooth Crowd Follows Atiku, Obi To Protest In Abuja

Mixed reactions have continued to pour in following a statement by APC chieftain and Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in response to the large turnout of supporters who joined African Democratic Congress (ADC) leaders in a protest in Abuja.

Keyamo’s reaction, shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, came shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) removed the names of certain ADC leaders from its official portal—an action that has fueled tensions within the party and sparked public demonstrations in the Federal Capital Territory.

In his post, Keyamo dismissed the concerns raised by the protesting ADC faction, insisting that Nigerians are politically aware and cannot be easily misled. He emphasized that Nigeria has 21 registered political parties, suggesting that the country’s democratic stability cannot hinge on the recognition or internal disputes of a single faction within one party. He further accused the ADC leaders involved of attempting to manipulate public sentiment and “blackmail” Nigerians into supporting their cause.

Questioning the political weight of the group, Keyamo pointed out that the same faction, even when previously recognized, failed to secure any electoral victories in the recent FCT elections. His remarks appeared to downplay both the influence of the protesting group and the broader implications of the leadership dispute.

Following the post, social media platforms were flooded with a wide range of reactions. While some users agreed with Keyamo’s stance, arguing that internal party issues should not be exaggerated into national concerns, others criticized his comments as dismissive and insensitive to the underlying issues of transparency, fairness, and due process within the electoral system.

The debate highlights the growing political divide and the role of public perception in shaping narratives around party disputes and democratic processes in Nigeria.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
