BREAKING: Ossai Ovie Raises Concerns Over Proposed Obi–Kwankwaso 2027 Alliance

A fresh political conversation has emerged following a social media post by Ossai Ovie Success, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, where he reacted to growing speculation about a possible 2027 alliance between Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

In his post, Ossai drew attention to what he described as a sharp contrast between the two politicians, both of whom are former governors. He referenced the introduction of Sharia law in one state, including restrictions on alcohol, while pointing out that the other is linked to business interests in the alcohol industry. The comment has since sparked mixed reactions online, particularly among supporters of both political figures.

The remarks come amid renewed momentum around the “OK Movement,” a political push by supporters of Obi and Kwankwaso to form a joint front ahead of the 2027 elections. The movement seeks to merge the Obidient Movement and the Kwankwasiyya political structure, with recent developments indicating increasing engagement between both camps. Reports of high level discussions and visits to Kano have further strengthened speculation that a joint ticket is under consideration, with Kwankwaso potentially emerging as a running mate.

Both politicians bring significant experience from their time as state governors. Peter Obi served as governor of Anambra State from 2006 to 2014, while Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who governed Kano State from 1999 to 2003 and again from 2011 to 2015.
