A video that was posted on the official X account of Mic on The Podcast on Saturday, June 27, 2026 has captured the moment Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Public Communication was saying he has sold Akara before.

In the video that surfaced online, Sunday Dare stated that there is nothing bad in selling Akara or roasting corn. He said he hawked bananas to several markets in Jos.

According to Sunday Dare in the viral video;

“Look at me today, my mother sold Akara, my mother sold bananas. I carried bananas on my head to markets in Jos, Plateau state. My mother sold oranges and with that, they were able to train me”.
