BREAKING: Israel Will Face Resistance If Troops Stay In Lebanon, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Says

Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has warned that Israeli forces will encounter continued resistance if they remain in southern Lebanon, amid rising tensions following a recent ceasefire and ongoing military deployments along the border.

Berri, a senior Shi’ite political figure and ally of Hezbollah, stated that Israel’s continued presence in Lebanese territory would provoke sustained opposition.

According to Jerusalem Post, he warned that if Israeli troops “insist on staying,” Lebanon would make their presence a constant source of resistance, emphasizing that the country would not accept the loss of any part of its land.

The comments come after a short ceasefire agreement mediated by the United States took effect, following months of cross-border conflict involving Israel and Hezbollah.

Despite the truce, Israeli forces remain stationed in a southern border zone roughly 5–10 kilometers deep inside Lebanon.

Israel argues that the deployment is necessary to create a buffer zone aimed at preventing further attacks on its northern communities.

According to reports, the Israeli military has also carried out demolitions in several southern Lebanese villages, claiming they are targeting Hezbollah infrastructure embedded within civilian areas.

Lebanese authorities and state media have reported continued shelling and explosions in multiple locations near the border even after the ceasefire began.

Diplomatic efforts are ongoing, with United States–mediated talks scheduled between Israeli and Lebanese representatives.

The discussions are considered some of the most significant direct engagements between the two sides in decades.

International reactions have been mixed.

A French diplomatic source suggested that a permanent buffer zone would not be necessary if a lasting peace agreement is achieved between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials, including Defense leadership, have reiterated that one of their strategic goals is the eventual disarmament of Hezbollah, either through military pressure or diplomatic arrangements.

The situation remains highly fragile, with fears that continued occupation and retaliation could reignite full-scale conflict along the border.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor.
