BREAKING: David Mark Warns — “Amupitan Set To Oversee Nigeria’s Most Distrusted Election Yet”

According to a report by Punch on Saturday, April 25, 2026, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, has raised concerns about the state of security and democratic governance in Nigeria during a national opposition summit held in Ibadan.

The gathering brought together members of opposition parties and political stakeholders to discuss pressing national issues and explore areas of cooperation.

The event, which took place in the capital of Oyo State, served as a platform for discussions around security challenges, governance, and the future of democratic processes in the country.

During his address at the summit, the former Senate President described the current situation in Nigeria as a serious security challenge.

He pointed to increasing incidents of terrorism, banditry, kidnappings, and other forms of violent crime across different parts of the country.

According to him, the scale of insecurity has become a major concern for citizens and has continued to affect daily life in many communities.

He also referenced figures which he said indicated that thousands of conflict-related deaths had been recorded within a single year, suggesting that the level of violence had reached a point of significant national concern.

In addition to highlighting security issues, Mark directed criticism at the All Progressives Congress, which currently holds power at the federal level.

He alleged that the government had not fulfilled its responsibility to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain order.

He also suggested that attention within the ruling party had shifted towards political considerations rather than governance.

These claims formed part of a broader argument that the current administration needed to refocus its efforts on addressing the challenges facing the country.

Mark also spoke about the condition of opposition politics in Nigeria, stating that opposition parties were experiencing pressure that could weaken their effectiveness.

He expressed concern about developments that he believes could reduce political diversity and limit the role of opposition voices.

According to him, such a trend could affect the balance that is expected in a democratic system.

He further argued that certain institutions meant to support democratic processes were facing challenges that might affect their independence and public perception.

He said, ”INEC is no longer an impartial umpire. And if nothing changes, Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan is about to preside over the most distrusted election in Nigerian history. The consequences are better left to imagination.”

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
