BREAKING: Chaos at EFCC! Tear Gas Flown As Nasir El-Rufai Supporters Clash With Protesters
Tensions exploded at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja on Monday as supporters of former Nasir El-Rufai clashed with protesters and security personnel.
Eyewitnesses said tear gas was deployed to disperse the crowds after confrontations turned heated. In a video shared online, protesters could be heard shouting:
“We will come back; when it clears, we will come back,” signaling their determination to return despite the disruption.
The drama unfolded after El-Rufai arrived at the EFCC premises with hundreds of supporters, following reports of his attempted arrest last Thursday at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The standoff has left the capital on edge, with authorities struggling to maintain order amid the high tensions.
