BREAKING: “You Can’t Lead PDP And Still Back Tinubu” – Dan Ulasi Blasts Party Loyalty Crisis

A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Dan Ulasi, has raised fresh concerns over the deepening leadership crisis within the opposition party, warning that conflicting loyalties could further weaken its political standing ahead of future elections.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, Ulasi questioned the role of key figures within the party, particularly in relation to their stance toward the ruling government led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He emphasized that party leadership must reflect unity and a clear direction, especially at a time when Nigerians are looking for a credible alternative.

According to him, “You cannot be the national leader of PDP and then be supporting President Ahmed Tinubu.” He described such a position as contradictory and politically difficult to justify, noting that it creates confusion among party members and supporters.

Ulasi stressed that leadership within any political party must be guided by loyalty to its ideals and candidates. He warned that public endorsements of an opposing administration by top figures could undermine internal cohesion and weaken the party’s chances in future contests.

The PDP chieftain also highlighted the need for dialogue and reconciliation within the party, urging stakeholders to resolve disputes and present a united front. He added that without clarity and discipline in leadership, the party risks losing its relevance as a strong opposition force in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
