Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, had launched a sharp and highly public criticism of Israel, accusing the administration of the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu of violating international law as tensions continue to escalate across the Middle East.

He also said the current conflict involving Israel, thr American Government, and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei represents a dangerous deviation from established international principles, emphasizing that Spain has consistently maintained that the war, which is being initiated unilaterally, was both a strategic mistake and legally unjustifiable.
The Spanish Premier went further to stressed that the erosion of international law could have far-reaching consequences, not only for the Middle East but for global stability as a whole, warning that the international order is increasingly being challenged, calling on world powers to return to foundational legal frameworks that have historically guided diplomatic and military conduct.
He also argued that adherence to these principles is essential for ensuring long-term peace and economic prosperity.
