US rapper Lil Nas X is facing legal trouble after a chaotic early-morning incident in Los Angeles that ended with his arrest for battery on a peace officer and his hospitalization.
According to TMZ Hip Hop, the Old Town Road star was spotted around 4 AM Thursday walking down Ventura Boulevard in Studio City wearing only his underwear and cowboy boots. At one point, he placed an orange traffic cone on his head while muttering to bystanders about “heading to a party.” A passing driver recorded the bizarre scene, which quickly went viral online.
Several residents in the area also reported seeing a nude man wandering in the middle of the street, prompting calls to the LAPD. When officers responded, they found Lil Nas X still in the road. Witnesses say he eventually stripped naked and charged at the officers, who subdued him and placed him in handcuffs.
Paramedics were called after police suspected a possible drug overdose, and Nas was rushed to a nearby hospital. Law enforcement sources later confirmed he was booked at Van Nuys jail on a misdemeanor charge of battery on a peace officer. He is currently being held without bail, though authorities say further charges are possible once the investigation is complete.
