BREAKING: Agbedi Reveals What Awaits Tinubu If He Fails to Resign
A member of the House of Representatives, Fred Agbedi, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the performance of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the administration has fallen short of expectations.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Agbedi disclosed that a six-month ultimatum had been issued to the President and warned that lawmakers could take further constitutional steps if their concerns are not addressed.
During the interview, Agbedi argued that many Nigerians are frustrated by the country’s current challenges, including economic hardship and insecurity.
According to him, the ultimatum reflects growing concerns about the direction of governance and the need for stronger leadership to address pressing national issues.
The lawmaker stated that those behind the ultimatum believe the President has not delivered the level of progress that citizens expected when he assumed office.
He maintained that public officials must be held accountable and that democratic institutions have a responsibility to act when government performance is perceived to be inadequate.
In his words, “President Tinubu has failed, that is why we gave him 6 months ultimatum, if he does not resign in 6 months, we will apply all the legislative processes.”
