The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu (BASA), has described the recent Court of Appeal judgment as a major victory for the PDP, due process, constitutional order, and the rule of law.
In a message posted on her official X handle on Thursday, June 4, 2026, BASA commended the National Secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the National Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed, and the entire PDP National Leadership for their steadfastness, resilience, and commitment throughout the legal process.
She stated that their dedication to protecting the integrity of the party and upholding its constitution deserves recognition and appreciation.
According to BASA, the judgment provides a valuable opportunity for party members to close ranks, strengthen unity, and recommit themselves to the greater task of rebuilding and advancing the party.
She urged members to continue placing the collective interest of the PDP and the aspirations of Nigerians above personal interests, stressing that the party remains a strong platform for democratic governance and national development.
BASA further called on party faithful to remain united in purpose, committed to progress, and focused on building a stronger and more vibrant PDP capable of providing the leadership, representation, and hope Nigerians deserve.
She reaffirmed the party’s commitment to promoting the principles of democracy, justice, and good governance in the pursuit of a better Nigeria.
