SHOCKING: Dele Momodu Speaks on Viral Claim Targeting Atiku Abubakar’s Life
The founder of Ovation Magazine and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has reacted to claims that some members of the Obidient Movement are allegedly wishing death on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Momodu made his position known via his official account on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, April 27, 2026, following a post by a user who alleged that supporters of Peter Obi were expressing hostility toward Atiku over his reported intention to contest in the 2027 presidential election.
The X user had written, “It has gotten to the point that Obidients are now wishing death on Atiku because he is exercising his right to contest.” The claim quickly drew attention online, sparking reactions from political observers and supporters across different camps.
Responding to the allegation, Momodu described the situation as unfortunate and concerning, particularly given the history between Atiku and Obi. According to him, “It is extremely sad that a man who gave Peter Obi his first Vice Presidential ticket is being bullied in this manner.”
He further suggested that such actions may not necessarily reflect the true position of genuine supporters of the Obidient Movement. “I wish to believe this is the handiwork of fake Obidients and agent provocateur,” he added, implying that those making such statements could be attempting to create division or tarnish the image of the movement.
Momodu’s comments highlight growing tensions within Nigeria’s opposition space as political alignments begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 general elections. Support bases for key figures have increasingly engaged in heated exchanges online, often reflecting deeper political rivalries.
Observers note that social media has become a major platform for political expression in Nigeria, but also a space where misinformation, impersonation, and inflammatory rhetoric can spread rapidly. This has raised concerns about the tone of political discourse and its potential impact on national cohesion.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
