In a recent interview shared by Arise News, APC chieftain, Dr Oluwatoyin Tajudeen Alabi, emphasized the importance of unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party prepares for upcoming governorship primaries.
Speaking on internal party dynamics, Alabi highlighted the growing competition among aspirants and the need for a peaceful approach to candidate selection. According to him, internal disagreements should not be allowed to weaken the party’s structure or affect its chances in future elections.
“Consensus will strengthen unity in the APC instead of causing factional fights over who gets the ticket,” he stated.
Alabi explained that adopting consensus where necessary would help prevent divisions and promote cooperation among party members. He noted that while democracy allows for open contest, party stakeholders must prioritize collective interest over personal ambition.
He further expressed confidence in the leadership of the APC, stating that ongoing consultations and engagements among stakeholders would ultimately lead to a unified front. According to him, party members are expected to align with decisions reached through dialogue and mutual understanding.
The APC chieftain also called on aspirants to remain committed to the party’s values and support whoever emerges as the candidate. He stressed that unity remains a key factor in securing electoral success and maintaining stability within the party ahead of future elections.
