BREAKING: “You Can’t Dismiss Tinubu Lightly” — Ubuoke Fires Back

Barrister Chijioke Ubuoke, a lawyer and political analyst, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu remains a formidable political figure who cannot be dismissed easily by political opponents.

In an interview with Symfoni TV, Ubuoke made this argument to highlight the difference between Tinubu’s calculated political trajectory and the more accidental rise of former President Goodluck Jonathan, noting that this difference explains Tinubu’s current grip on power and influence.

He explained that Nigeria’s political history shows how leadership styles differ significantly, pointing out that Jonathan’s emergence into power followed a sequence of unexpected transitions rather than deliberate ambition.

He described Tinubu as a seasoned political figure who spent years building alliances, structures, and influence across the country. Ubuoke further argued that Tinubu demonstrates a strategic approach to governance by appointing capable individuals, such as Nyesom Wike, the minister of FCT, who is from the opposition party.

According to Ubuoke, critics who rely on public outrage or isolated controversies will fail to remove Tinubu from power. He advised the opposition forces to rethink their approach if they intend to remove a leader of Tinubu’s caliber.

In his words, “His calculations are deft. He’s sagacious. So, it would take somebody deeper to sit back and plot the way out of this man. But it’s not just by shouting and calling Amupitan names and all the rest of that and then waiting for us to believe.”

“I think we should be thinking deeper than that. Tinubu is not somebody that you wave away with the left hand. He’s not. And so they need a whole lot to do if they want him out of office.”
