The Supreme Court of Nigeria has set aside an order directing the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to maintain the status quo in its ongoing leadership crisis.
According to Vanguard, in a unanimous decision delivered by a five-member panel led by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, the court ruled that the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal exceeded its jurisdiction by issuing the order after dismissing the case before it.
The apex court described the directive as unnecessary and improper, noting that such an order should not have been made once the appeal had already been struck out.
The ruling partly upheld an appeal filed by former Senate President David Mark, while dismissing aspects relating to an earlier ex parte order of the Federal High Court.
The court subsequently directed all parties involved to return to the trial court for continuation of proceedings.
It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier removed the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola from its records as ADC National Chairman and Secretary, citing the Appeal Court ruling.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
