Paris Saint-Germain FC have reportedly suffered another injury setback ahead of their UEFA Champions League final clash with Arsenal FC later this month.
The French champions are preparing for the huge showdown scheduled to take place at the Puskás Aréna on May 30, but manager Luis Enrique is currently dealing with several fitness concerns within his squad.
According to an official medical update released by PSG, Kang-in Lee picked up an ankle injury during the recent match against Brest and is expected to work indoors for the next few days.
The club also confirmed that William Pacho, Nuno Mendes and Warren Zaïre-Emery are still undergoing treatment for their respective injuries.
Meanwhile, Achraf Hakimi, Lucas Chevalier and Quentin Ndjantou are currently carrying out individual training sessions away from the main squad.
Despite the injury worries, PSG still have domestic duties to complete before turning full attention to the Champions League final. Enrique’s side are aiming to secure the Ligue 1 title before facing Paris FC in another league fixture days later.
Arsenal, on the other hand, booked their place in the final after defeating Atlético Madrid 2-1 on aggregate. PSG reached the final after edging past FC Bayern Munich in a thrilling semi-final encounter.
Speaking after Arsenal’s victory over Atletico Madrid, Mikel Arteta praised the difficulty of competing at the highest European level and highlighted how small margins often decide major matches.
Luis Enrique also spoke highly of Arsenal after PSG advanced to the final, describing the Gunners as one of the most consistent teams in Europe this season.
