Former Senate President Chuba Okadigbo once predicted that President Bola Tinubu would become Nigeria’s President, Chairman of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, has revealed.
According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, April 9, 2026, Olusi made the disclosure on Wednesday during the inauguration of the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, E-GIS project and Alausa Complex in Lagos State.
He said Okadigbo made the prediction in 1992 after Tinubu stepped down for Iyorchia Ayu during the contest for the position of Senate President.
According to Olusi, Tinubu’s journey to the presidency was destined by God and had been foretold many years ago.
He explained that Tinubu started his political career in Ikeja despite pressure from some people who wanted him to begin from Lagos Island.
Olusi said Tinubu later became a senator and was considered for Senate President but chose to step aside for Okadigbo.
He said it was at that point Okadigbo declared that Tinubu would one day become Nigeria’s President.
Olusi said, “God used the mouth of Okadigbo to prophesy that Bola Tinubu that you are seeing will become the future President of Nigeria.”
He also claimed that a former chairman of Somolu Local Government, Otunba Bola Adewunmi, who later became a cleric, gave a similar prophecy.
According to him, Adewunmi said God revealed Tinubu would become President and asked him to deliver the message.
Olusi said the prophecy has now been fulfilled with Tinubu serving as President.
