According to a report by Football365 on Tuesday June 2, 2026, Arsenal are reportedly preparing to open negotiations with Atlético Madrid over a potential move for Julian Álvarez, as the club continue exploring elite attacking reinforcements ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners, who recently secured the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final with Viktor Gyökeres leading the line, still have Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz as additional forward options, but remain keen to further strengthen their striker depth.
