Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Tinubu will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election, arguing that the opposition remains divided and lacks the strength to pose a real challenge to the current administration.
In a post shared on X on Monday, June 1, 2026, and titled “A JOKE OF AN OPPOSITION,” he maintained that the various opposition groups do not possess the unity, influence, or credibility needed to defeat the incumbent president at the polls.
He stated that, having reviewed the list of presidential hopefuls, he was convinced Tinubu would win comfortably and without difficulty in the next election cycle. According to him, the ruling party remains firmly positioned ahead of its rivals.
Fani-Kayode also delivered a harsh critique of opposition politicians, describing them in highly negative terms and accusing them of being disorganized, unreliable, and lacking political substance. He insisted that they pose no meaningful electoral threat and have failed to present voters with a convincing alternative.
Comparing the opposition to the biblical Tower of Babel, he argued that they are plagued by internal divisions and conflicting ambitions, which prevent them from functioning as a unified force. He further suggested that their activities are chaotic and inconsistent, with no clear direction or shared purpose.
He went on to describe their political engagements as more theatrical than serious, claiming that their campaigns lack depth and significance, and are often noisy but ineffective.
Turning to Labour Party’s former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Fani-Kayode said Obi’s support base is largely concentrated in the South-East and suggested that his appeal may not extend strongly to other regions of the country.
He also addressed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, disputing claims that Atiku would dominate northern votes in a future election. He argued that political dynamics in the North have changed over time and that Atiku’s influence has diminished compared to earlier years.
Fani-Kayode further referenced several prominent northern political leaders, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senator Abdulazeez Yari, and governors such as Uba Sani of Kaduna, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, describing them as emerging figures reshaping the region’s political landscape.
He concluded that the rise of these new leaders would further weaken Atiku’s political standing in the North, emphasizing that they represent a more forward-looking and nationally focused generation of politicians.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
