Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has told members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other opposition supporters that their political struggle is not yet over despite a recent legal victory
His statement was contained in a report published by THE SUN on Friday May 1, 2026.
This follows the decision of the Supreme Court of Nigeria which affirmed David Mark as the legitimate leader of the party, bringing an end to the internal leadership dispute.
Reacting to the development, Atiku cautioned party members against becoming complacent, noting that while the judgment is a significant win, it does not mark the end of their broader political objective.
He stated that the victory reflects the determination of Nigerians who are committed to change, adding that more effort is still required to achieve their long-term goals of rebuilding the country.
