Hon. Godfrey Gaiya, a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), says the Peoples Democratic Party once ran smoothly but later fell into disorder.
In an interview with THE SUN on Monday, April 20, 2026, Gaiya said he left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because internal fights and rule‑breaking made it hard to work there. He added that people move between parties to find better chances to serve their communities and advance their goals.
Gaiya said he spent three years in the All Progressives Congress (APC) but still remembers the days when the PDP was well organised. He blamed a few people who tried to take control and said those actions, along with rising tensions, pushed him to leave.
He explained that joining another party can be a way to get a better platform to help people and the country.
According to him,
“PDP, at one point, was organised. Forget that some people came in and tried to have it their own way. Of course, the terrorism snapped at the hems and we needed to just move.”
