BREAKING: Osun Lawmaker Withdraws Resignation, Backs Adeleke
The lawmaker representing the Iwo State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adesina Rabiu, has formally withdrawn his earlier resignation from the Accord Party.
Recall that on Monday, Rabiu publicly retracted his decision and declared his renewed loyalty to both the political faction and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Rabiu, who concurrently serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Home Affairs, Culture, and Tourism, had initially submitted a formal letter to the Speaker of the House, Adewale Egbedun.
The correspondence announced his immediate departure from the Accord Party.
In the letter, the lawmaker described his sudden exit as a strictly personal choice, noting, “I hereby tender my resignation from the Accord Party, effective immediately. This decision is personal, and I’d like to keep the reasons to myself.”
However, the political landscape shifted dramatically just hours later when Rabiu appeared in a video circulating online. Seated alongside the spokesperson to the governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, and Speaker Egbedun, the lawmaker announced a complete withdrawal of his resignation.
Speaking in Yoruba in the recorded footage sighted by our correspondent, Rabiu clarified his current stance: “Following what happened earlier today, when I wrote a resignation letter from the Accord Party, I hereby state that I have withdrawn the letter.”
He used the broadcast to strongly reiterate his political alignments ahead of the upcoming polls.
“I remain in the Accord Party and fully support Governor Ademola Adeleke. We pray that by August 15, he will win the election. I am solidly behind him and will work wholeheartedly for his success, using everything within my power and resources to ensure victory,” Rabiu stated.
This sequence of events unfolds against the backdrop of significant political realignment within the state. Just recently, all 25 members of the Osun State House of Assembly who were originally elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defected en masse to the Accord Party.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
