Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, has stated that he remains committed to delivering tangible results within the limited timeframe of his first tenure.
Speaking during an interview on CHANNELS TV, Monday emphasised that his approach to governance is driven by a sense of urgency rather than an attempt to impress the public at the early stage of his administration.
Okpebholo noted that his four-year mandate is insufficient to accomplish all his developmental goals, adding that he has already spent approximately one year and six months in office actively executing his agenda.
He maintained that his pace of work reflects his determination to fulfil campaign promises and maximise the time available to him.
According to him,
“When I was campaigning, I told the Edo people that I’m coming to work for them. And people are now complaining that I’m doing the work again. It’s not initial gragra. How many years do I have in my first tenure? Four years. I don’t have time; the time is not even enough.”
