Napoleon Otache, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, has said that Senator George Akume has already occupied some of the highest political offices in Nigeria and has no need to seek further power.
Speaking in an interview on ARISE TV, Otache noted that Akume has served two terms as governor of Benue State, two terms as senator, and is currently the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
He argued that Akume has reached one of the highest levels in public service and questioned what additional political position he could still be seeking after holding such key offices.
Otache stated,
“He has been a senator for two terms. He has been a governor for two terms, and he is currently the SGF. Which other power on earth has he not seen that he would still be looking for more?”
