Political activist and FCT senatorial aspirant under the New Democratic Coalition (NDC), Aisha Yesufu, has revealed a personal commitment she made to former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Yesufu made the statement during an appearance on Channels Television Sunday Politics, where she spoke on her political alignment and continued support for Obi’s political movement.
According to her, she has assured Peter Obi of unwavering support while also pledging to remain honest in her political engagements with him.
“One of the things I did promise Mr. Peter Obi is that from now till 2027, I’m going to have your back. Your back will be safe with me, and I will always tell you the truth, and I’m going to maintain that,” she said.
She emphasized that her support would not be blind loyalty, but one rooted in accountability and sincerity.
