Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has alleged that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde will be expelled from the PDP following the party’s convention.
Speaking in an interview with Symfoni TV, Fayose staked his reputation on the prediction. “After this convention, Makinde will be expelled. Let him be reminded that my name is Fayose, and I am saying this in public. And again, with the way things are going, he is sure to lose that election in Oyo State,” he said, adding that the party’s national leadership was firmly in control and united.
Fayose said the convention would open the door for reconciliation with all but those he described as irredeemably lost to the party’s cause.
He singled out Makinde as one of those figures, accusing him of negotiating with one hand while simultaneously challenging the party at the Supreme Court with the other.
He made it clear that the party would not put its processes on hold while waiting for the court outcome, and reminded the public that Makinde remained under suspension — a status, Fayose insisted, that was not going away.
