BREAKING: Adebayo Blasts APC: “Tinubu Won’t Get Their Votes in 2027”
During an interview on Channels Television on Monday, April 27, 2026, Social Democratic Party (SDP) chieftain, Adewole Adebayo, made a striking assertion about the political future of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking candidly, Adebayo expressed strong doubts about the level of genuine support the president currently enjoys within his own party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to him, the loyalty being displayed by APC members at present may not necessarily translate into actual votes when Nigerians head to the polls in 2027.
Adebayo argued that many party members are only showing support due to pressure and circumstances that compel them to align publicly with the current administration. However, he insisted that such conditions cannot influence what happens during a secret ballot.
In his words, “APC members will not vote for Tinubu, they are doing everything at gun point now, but no gun point in the ballot box.” He further implied that internal dissatisfaction within the APC could significantly impact the outcome of the next presidential election.
