BREAKING: ADC: We Don’t Want To Scare Anyone, But If Tinubu Understands Nigeria, He Should Be Afraid – Bolaji
Bolaji Abdullahi, the spokesperson for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has expressed confidence in the party’s ability to provide strong competition to the APC in the upcoming presidential elections. Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, he revealed that INEC’s decision to derecognize David Mark’s leadership was a blessing in disguise for the party.
He stated that this development brought the political heavyweights in the party together because they are now more aware of what is at stake. He added that they are expecting more people to join the party following the defection of Rabiu Kwankwaso from the NNPP to the ADC.
He emphasized that no one needs to worry about the outcome of the primaries, as the party is expected to be transparent in the entire process. He stated that he expects the outcome of the primaries to be satisfactory so that no one will leave the party bitter over the results.
He also spoke at length about President Tinubu’s recent statement in which he said he cannot be scared by anyone. Abdullahi made it clear that the ADC’s aim is not to scare anyone; however, President Tinubu should be concerned if he is truly tuned in to what is happening in Nigeria. He said:
“We are not here to scare anybody, but if the President is really tuned in to what’s going on in the country, then he should really be afraid, unless the people around him are lying to him.”
He added that the truly scary situation is the reality of Nigerians who are going hungry because of Tinubu’s policies.
