Tensions Escalate: Israel Launches New Attacks on Lebanon After Ceasefire Extension

As stated by Lebanon’s health ministry, six individuals have died and two more sustained injuries following airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Friday. These attacks have rekindled anxiety among locals who had only recently begun to feel some relief after weeks of unease. The Israel Defense Forces assert that the strikes targeted locations utilized by Hezbollah militants, accusing them of launching rockets and trying to undermine a truce that had just been prolonged for three weeks. However, on the ground, ordinary citizens continue to bear the consequences, with homes ravaged and entire neighborhoods forced to evacuate.

Since March, Lebanese health officials report that over 2,000 individuals have died due to Israeli bombings, while the United Nations believes that more than a million people have been displaced.
