According to a report by Daily Post on Wednesday, 3 June, 2026, the founder of the Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, has claimed that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, cannot lead a protest against the government of Nigeria due to his age.
Bamiloye’s comments comes after Pastor Enoch Adeboye shared a clip on Tuesday, in which he urged the President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, His Excellency Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu to issue a 90 day ultimatum to service chiefs to eliminate terrorist or resign from his office.
It comes amid allegations that Pastor Adeboye has called off a planned protest against insecurity. Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, writing on his Instagram page hit out at critic’s and bloggers for misrepresenting the Cleric’s stance as regard insecurity in the country.
However, several Nigerians have criticized the clergyman that he has failed to lead a protest against the current administration for bad governance and rising insecurity in the country, many made reference to Pastor Adeboye’s led protest against former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s government.
Meanwhile, Mike Bamiloye added, “This is what he said, many bloggers saw this , but they would project it, But he spoke against the evils,”Bamiloye wrote.
“And for all those who are expecting an 84 year old man, servant of God , to lead a protest against a government, this does not make sense by virtue of his age and by the mandate of his calling.”
Nigeria is currently facing a surge in mass abductions and terrorist violence.
The most pressing national issues is the recent kidnapping of dozen of school children in Oyo and Borno States and widespread bandits attacks across the Northwest and Central region of Nigeria.
