BREAKING: Tinubu Vows Re-Election Bid, Says “I’m Stubborn and I Won’t Step Aside”
According to a report by Punch Newspaper on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, President Bola Tinubu has openly stated his intention to run for a second term in office, making it clear that the ongoing security challenges in parts of Nigeria will not compel him to step aside or reconsider his political ambitions.
The declaration was made during a meeting in which the President received Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang alongside other key stakeholders from Plateau State, using the occasion to address both political and security-related concerns affecting the country.
Tinubu explained that individuals or groups attempting to exploit the nation’s security situation to weaken his administration were, in his view, indirectly supporting the agenda of his political rivals as well as forces that do not wish the country well.
He emphasized that such actions, rather than contributing to solutions, only strengthen opposition narratives and distract from the efforts being made by his government to address the challenges confronting the nation.
Despite increasing criticism from various quarters regarding insecurity, the President maintained that he remains firm and unshaken, portraying himself as a leader with strong resolve and unwillingness to yield under pressure.
His comments come at a time when concerns have intensified over incidents involving armed groups, including kidnappings and killings reported in different regions of the country, prompting opposition figures and civil society organisations to demand more decisive measures from the Federal Government.
Tinubu has consistently defended his administration’s approach to security, reiterating that support is being provided to security agencies to confront threats and reestablish stability across Nigeria, while affirming his determination to continue leading the country beyond his current tenure.
“I’m a very stubborn politician. I just refuse to go. And I will campaign for my second term,” he said.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
