BREAKING: “There Will Be Implosions, No Doubt About It, If They Refuse To Allow A Free And Fair Election – Yusuf
According to a report by Daily Post on Monday, April 20, 2026, Senator Abubakar Yusuf, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, has advised President Bola Tinubu not to rely heavily on the backing of APC governors as preparations gradually begin ahead of the 2027 general election.
He expressed concerns that the perceived strength of the ruling party, particularly through the influx of governors from other political platforms, may not necessarily translate into electoral success at the polls.
Yusuf pointed out that several governors who have recently aligned with the APC may not possess genuine grassroots support among voters.
According to him, their political influence may be overstated, especially when measured against actual voter sentiment, raising doubts about their ability to deliver electoral victories during a national contest.
The senator also raised the possibility of internal crises within the ruling party if proper procedures are not followed during its primary elections.
He cautioned that failing to ensure fairness and transparency in the selection of candidates could lead to significant divisions, which might weaken the party’s overall cohesion before the 2027 elections.
He further highlighted the presence of multiple interest groups within the APC structure, suggesting that these factions could create friction if not carefully managed.
Yusuf indicated that the coexistence of different blocs within the party could result in conflicting priorities and competition, particularly in the absence of a unified approach to leadership and decision-making.
In addition, he suggested that any potential victory for the APC in the 2027 presidential election might not necessarily be a reflection of the administration’s performance.
Instead, he argued that such an outcome could stem from a lack of a strong and coordinated opposition capable of mounting a serious challenge to the ruling party.
Yusuf’s remarks also underscored the importance of internal democracy within the APC, emphasizing that credible primary elections would be critical in maintaining party stability.
He maintained that without a transparent process, the party risks alienating key stakeholders and supporters, which could ultimately affect its prospects in future elections.
He said, “There will be implosions, no doubt about it, if they refuse to allow a free and fair election. You see, we have APC on one side, we have Renewed Hope Organization on one side, and then we have governors on another side, City Boys as well.
“Then we have, you know, the Nigerian citizens. So there’s bound to be a lot of a bunch of contradictions here, if the system or Mr. President as the leader of the political party, they must allow free and fair election.”
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
