Video footage of PRP National Chairman Hakeem Baba-Ahmed responding to allegations that Rabiu Kwankwaso bought PRP registration paperwork in Kano surfaced on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, on the official X account of ARISE NEWS.
This followed allegations that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso had purchased 69 forms for the benefit of his supporters in the state of Kano.
The PRP National Chairman refuted the accusations in the video that went viral. According to him, PRP forms may only be purchased in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, and not in Kano state.
According to Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the party’s leadership remains in the dark about who made up the narrative.
“We do not sell nomination forms in Kano. All forms are sold in Abuja,” Hakeem Baba-Ahmed says in the now-viral video. No one within the party knows the man who said Kwankwaso bought 69 forms. Nomination forms cannot be sold by him because he is neither employed nor authorised to do so.
