According to the Anadolu agency, as the war between Israel and Iran stretches into its second month and the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is casting the crisis not only as a security challenge, but also as a strategic opening.
Speaking Thursday at a seminar in the Jordan Valley, Netanyahu suggested that the growing instability around one of the world’s most important oil routes could accelerate efforts to build alternative energy corridors and that Israel wants to position itself at the center of that shift.
“This is what will happen here as well,” Netanyahu said, referring to how previous global energy crises forced countries to rethink vulnerable supply chains. “We have an opportunity here to be part of this route toward the Mediterranean.”
Though he offered few specifics, the message was clear: Israel sees an opportunity to transform itself into a bridge between Gulf energy producers and European markets at a time when traditional maritime routes are under pressure.
The Strait of Hormuz has long served as a critical artery for global oil shipments, with a significant portion of the world’s energy exports passing through the narrow waterway. Its closure during the ongoing conflict has rattled energy markets and renewed fears over how dependent much of the world remains on a single, fragile chokepoint.
Netanyahu did not identify which countries might participate in such a project, nor did he outline how oil or other goods would move through Israeli territory to Mediterranean ports. But the idea is not entirely new. Israeli governments have for years promoted plans involving rail links, ports, and trade corridors connecting the Gulf to Europe through Israel.
What makes the proposal more significant now is the changing regional landscape. The Abraham Accords opened new economic conversations between Israel and some Arab states, yet the current war with Iran has complicated those relationships and exposed how quickly regional trade routes can become entangled in conflict.
For Israel, the proposal is about more than infrastructure. It reflects a broader attempt to turn geopolitical turbulence into long-term strategic leverage, economically, diplomatically, and politically, while the wider region remains consumed by uncertainty.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
