White House official Anna Kelly has defended the Trump administration’s energy and foreign policy approach, insisting that recent decisions are delivering benefits to both the United States and its international partners.

In a Fox News interview, Kelly declined to reveal details of President Donald Trump’s private diplomatic conversations, citing their sensitive nature. “Of course I can’t discuss the president’s private conversations without his permission,” she said.

While withholding specifics, Kelly maintained that the administration’s overall strategy is producing positive results worldwide. “The entire world is benefiting from what the president is doing,” she stated, highlighting a mix of robust energy policies and strategic enforcement actions.

A key part of her argument centred on America’s push for energy dominance. “The United States has unleashed American energy, and America now produces more oil than any other country in the world,” Kelly said, describing U.S. output as a stabilising force for global energy markets.

She also connected recent maritime developments to shifting oil trade patterns. “As a result of this blockade, tankers that used to head to Iranian ports are now coming to the big, beautiful Gulf of America to buy oil,” she noted, suggesting that U.S. policies are successfully redirecting energy flows in America’s favour.

Kelly emphasised that President Trump remains actively engaged with global leaders. “The president is engaged with countries around the world,” she said, underscoring the administration’s blend of diplomacy, economic strategy, and military posture.

When asked about critical shipping routes, she downplayed U.S. reliance on one of the world’s most vital waterways. “The United States does not need the Strait of Hormuz,” Kelly asserted, while stressing that America has the capability to secure it if necessary.

She reinforced this point by highlighting American military superiority. “The United States can secure the Strait of Hormuz because we have the most powerful military in the world,” she said, adding that this strength serves the interests of both the U.S. and its allies.
