Imran Wakili, a political commentator, has blamed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for the worsening crisis within the African Democratic Congress. Wakili claimed that Atiku caused the total collapse of the party’s coalition structure in Adamawa State. He noted that key political figures who originally built the party have completely abandoned the former presidential candidate now.

According to a report by Daily Post on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, while analyzing the mass defection from the party, he stated that major heavyweights like Aishatu Binani and Jibrilla Bindow left the structure entirely. The commentator argued that Atiku cannot be excused from the political mess currently facing the troubled state chapter today.

The political analyst detailed how prominent politicians scattered into different rival parties following internal friction. Binani joined the NDC, while former Senator Ishaku Abbo defected to the Labour Party. Furthermore, Abdulaziz Nyako moved to the APC, leaving the former Vice President with very few influential allies to help run the collapsing state chapter.

Wakili emphasized that Atiku is now left with only a small circle of loyalists, including his son, Adamu Abubakar. He stated that observers warned the party about these looming dangers well in advance, but their advice was ignored. The commentator maintained that his analysis reflects reality rather than any form of deep personal animosity.

These developments followed the high-profile resignation of Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Lawal officially left the party after alleging that the recently concluded presidential primaries were heavily manipulated. He claimed the entire process was deliberately skewed to favor Atiku’s personal political ambitions ahead of the next election.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
