BREAKING: If It Is In David Mark’s Favour,We Cannot Work Together;I Will Leave ADC And Fight Elsewhere – Abejide

In a recent interview shared by Channels Television, a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Chairman of the House Committee on Customs, Leke Abejide, has expressed strong reservations over the ongoing leadership crisis rocking the party.

Speaking amid growing tensions, Abejide stated that the dispute within the party has deepened divisions among key stakeholders, especially over who should be recognized as the legitimate national chairman. The crisis, which has drawn protests and counterclaims, is now before the courts, with different factions backing opposing leaders.

Abejide maintained that his position is based on legality and due process, stressing that actions within the party must comply with its constitution. He noted that he cannot align with any group that disregards established rules or imposes leadership without proper procedure.

“If it is in David Mark’s favour, we cannot work together; I will leave ADC and fight elsewhere,” he said.

He further insisted that he would rather pursue his political future outside the party than remain in an environment he considers unjust. According to him, his loyalty is to due process and fairness, adding that he is prepared to take his political struggle to another platform if necessary.
