BREAKING: IDF Troops Wipe Out Both Terrorists Who Ambushed Staff Sgt. Touvel Yosef Lifshiz

According to a report by The Times of Israel on April 12, 2026, the Israeli Defence Forces have announced that they have apprehended and killed the Hezbollah militant responsible for the murder of Staff Sergeant Touvel Yosef Lifshiz, an Israeli soldier, in southern Lebanon last week.

The 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade was involved in a heavy gun battle with two Hezbollah members who had taken up position inside a structure on Tuesday afternoon.

In the heat of fighting, Lifshiz was assassinated along with one of the Hezbollah assassins.

In the midst of the mayhem, the second operative slipped into the building and evaded capture.

Returning to the fighting site two days after the initial conflict, the same Golani soldiers conducted a comprehensive search.

Inside the building, they found an armed Hezbollah agent concealed beneath a mound of rubble. The terrorist was swiftly neutralised by the troops who opened fire from close range.

The second gunman who had escaped earlier was, in fact, the neutralised guy, according to military officials.

Also, the first operator slain in the initial gunfight was found dead by the military.

After the main confrontation ended, this operation showed that Israeli forces were determined to continue pursuing and neutralising threats.

There were no hostile elements in the area because the Golani Brigade returned to the area so quickly.

The squad averted any possible future attacks from the surviving operator by meticulously removing the debris and confirming identification.
