BREAKING: Fresh Crisis Rocks Kaduna ADC
Fresh crisis has rocked the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna state following the rejection of a purported state congress by the party’s recognised leadership, which described the exercise as illegal and lacking constitutional backing.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the state chapter led by Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Ahmed disowned the gathering allegedly organised by Mr. Patrick Ambut, insisting that it was an unauthorised move aimed at creating confusion within the party.
The leadership maintained that Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Ahmed remains the substantive chairman of the ADC in Kaduna state and that no parallel group has the authority to organise congresses or appoint party officials.
According to the statement, Ambut was first expelled from the party in 2022 over alleged anti-party activities and misconduct, before he was later pardoned in 2025 in the spirit of reconciliation during the ADC coalition process.
However, the chapter said he was again expelled on April 14, 2026, by the appropriate party organs for similar offences.
Citing the party constitution, the state executive stated that any expelled member automatically loses all rights and privileges of membership and cannot hold office unless formally reinstated by the National Executive Committee.
It noted that no such reinstatement has taken place, rendering any claim to leadership or authority by the dissident group invalid.
The chapter further described the purported congress as an act of impersonation and factionalism capable of destabilising party unity in the state.
It stressed that only duly recognised structures of the party can conduct congresses, elect officers, or speak on behalf of the ADC in Kaduna state.
The leadership reaffirmed that the Ahmed Tijjani-led executive, in place since 2022, remains the only lawful structure recognised by the party.
It added that current state chairmen across the country would remain in office until the expiration of their tenure on May 14, 2026.
The Kaduna chapter also reaffirmed loyalty to the national leadership of the ADC under Senator David Mark and pledged continued commitment to discipline, internal democracy, and the rule of law.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
