BREAKING: “Even Me, He Convinced Me, Many People That Are In LP Today Were Convinced By Obi – Usman

According to a report by The Sun Thursday, April 23, 2026, chairman of the Labour Party, Nenadi Usman, has stated that former presidential candidate Peter Obi would not be able to rejoin the party to contest the 2027 general election. She explained that the current political arrangements within the party and the broader electoral framework have already moved beyond a stage that would allow such a return.

Her remarks highlighted the practical limitations surrounding the matter ahead of the 2027 elections and the party’s current direction in recent discussions.

She further noted that both electoral timelines and internal party processes make it practically impossible for Obi to re-enter the party at this point.

According to her explanation, the requirements guiding nominations and party alignment ahead of the 2027 elections are already in motion, leaving no procedural room for a late reintegration into the party structure for the party structure.

The comments were made during an interview on Arise Television where she addressed questions surrounding political alignments within the Labour Party.

During the session, she spoke on the evolving dynamics within the party and the implications of past electoral participation by key figures associated with its rise in national politics on national television platform.

Usman acknowledged the significant role Peter Obi played in expanding the Labour Party’s visibility and influence during the last general election cycle.

She pointed out that his entry into the race under the party platform helped elevate its national profile and brought increased attention to its political agenda across different regions during the period of heightened political engagement across Nigeria within the country.

She added that many individuals who are currently members of the Labour Party were attracted into the party through the political movement associated with Obi.

According to her, this influx of members was driven by a shared belief in the principles that guided the campaign and the wider message of political participation that resonated with supporters especially among supporters seeking change in national governance priorities across political circles.

She further emphasized that the growth experienced by the party during that period was closely tied to the momentum created by Obi’s participation in the election.

She noted that this period also reflected the party’s emphasis on equity and fairness, which became central themes that drew support from various segments of the electorate reflecting broader conversations within the party during that electoral season in recent context.

She said, “Even me, he convinced me to come with him to the Labour Party and not just me, many people that are in the Labour Party today were convinced by Peter Obi because we believed in equity and fairness,” she said.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor.
