The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has made comments criticizing supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as “Obidients,” over what he described as their negative interpretation of national issues.
Bwala made the remarks on his official X account while responding to a cartoon that showed him holding a glass of water during a recent interview with international journalist Mendi Hasan. In the interview, he had been explaining the importance of “context” in political discussions and governance, emphasizing that meaning can change depending on how situations are understood.
According to Bwala, context is essential when analyzing politics because national issues are often complex and should not be judged in isolation. He argued that people who understand governance properly tend to see challenges as part of a gradual process of development rather than immediate failures.
Using the popular “half full or half empty glass” analogy, he suggested that progressives tend to view situations with optimism, believing that difficulties are temporary steps toward improvement.
However, Bwala directly criticized supporters of Peter Obi, saying they tend to interpret issues in a more negative or pessimistic way. He claimed that this outlook makes them “disillusioned, disgruntled and confused,” implying that their criticism of government actions is often driven by negativity rather than objective analysis.
He further stated that a positive mindset reflects hope and confidence in progress, while a negative one reflects doubt and dissatisfaction. Concluding his remarks, he reiterated that life and governance should be viewed through a “half full” perspective, linking optimism with constructive political engagement and pessimism with opposition criticism.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
