BREAKING: Bauchi APC Stakeholders Pledge Fairness As Gov Mohammed Plans Defection
The Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured members and stakeholders of fairness as it prepares to receive Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who is set to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This assurance came after a series of consultations by APC stakeholders in the state, following a meeting with Governor Mohammed at his Abuja residence on Wednesday.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed was elected under the PDP but has recently indicated interest in joining the APC, reflecting a growing trend of party realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections. His potential defection has generated discussions among political stakeholders in Bauchi State, prompting the APC to convene meetings with lawmakers, former governors, and party leaders to ensure a smooth and inclusive process. The APC’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, encourages political actors, including sitting governors, to join the party in a manner that strengthens unity and promotes electoral success.
The stakeholders had earlier constituted a committee to address concerns surrounding the governor’s planned defection. Following extensive discussions, an amicable decision was reached to ensure unity within the party.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting on Thursday, the Secretary of the Bauchi State APC Stakeholders Committee and member representing Toro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dabo Isma’il, said the consultations focused on aligning the governor’s move with the party’s goals.
He stated: “We met with His Excellency, Governor Mohammed, who briefed us on his plans. After fruitful discussions, we reconvened to update the larger house and ensure that every stakeholder’s interest is protected. The national leadership has urged unity and called on us to welcome the governor.”
Hon. Isma’il further emphasized that no party member would be shortchanged or witch-hunted, assuring that the governor is ready to work with all members at every level.
Former governor and Minister of Aviation, Mallam Isa Yuguda, also stressed the importance of unity, noting that electoral success can only be achieved through collective effort.
“Our goal is to win elections decisively and peacefully. We must close ranks and strengthen unity to ensure the party’s success,” he said.
Hon. Jafaru Gambo Leko, representing Dass/Bogoro/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency, added that the consultations were meant to foster fairness, justice, and inclusiveness among party members.
“We will continue engaging to ensure every concern is heard and addressed. As representatives of the people, we remain committed to promoting unity,” he said.
The stakeholders’ meeting marks a significant step in consolidating support and fostering harmony ahead of Governor Mohammed’s planned move to the APC, highlighting the party’s commitment to fairness, consultation, and unity in Bauchi State.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
