According to a report by The Sun on Thursday, April 30, 2026, Liborous Oshoma has cautioned that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) risks spending a substantial portion of the period leading up to the 2027 general elections entangled in prolonged legal disputes rather than focusing on electoral preparations.

Oshoma warned that the party’s internal challenges could become a significant distraction if not addressed promptly, particularly as political activities begin to intensify across the country. Speaking during the programme Politics Today, he explained that the ongoing leadership crisis within the ADC, coupled with an increasing number of court cases, may dominate the party’s agenda for an extended period.

He noted that these disputes could persist close to the election cycle, leaving limited time for strategic planning and coordination. According to him, the growing volume of litigation surrounding the party’s leadership structure could slow its political progress and hinder its ability to function cohesively, despite recent engagements, public statements, and discussions about potential alliances.

Oshoma emphasized the need for urgent intervention by party leaders to resolve internal disagreements and legal complications. He argued that failure to act swiftly could deepen the crisis and weaken the party’s organizational capacity at both national and grassroots levels as election preparations gather momentum.

He further observed that many of the legal matters may advance through higher levels of the judiciary, including the Supreme Court of Nigeria, requiring sustained attention from party leaders, particularly in Abuja. This, he explained, could divert focus away from political mobilization and the development of structures necessary for effective election readiness.

Additionally, Oshoma pointed out that time spent navigating court proceedings may limit the party’s ability to conduct consistent outreach and grassroots mobilization across various regions. Such constraints, he said, could negatively affect planning, coordination, and the strengthening of the party’s presence as political competition intensifies ahead of the 2027 elections.

He concluded by stressing the urgency of the situation, stating, “They need to make haste. If they do not make haste, then certainly it might become difficult for them, despite the Ibadan Declaration, to even put their house in order.”

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
