SHOCKER: Oladeji Picks BAT Over Bello, Questions Youth Leadership Readiness

In a recent video shared on The Volume Pod, Blessing Oladeji, Nigeria Data strategist and Public sector innovator, spoke on leadership choices, governance quality, and the role of data in evaluating political figures in Nigeria.

During the interview, Oladeji stated, “I will prefer BAT to be my president compared to Yahaya Bello, who is a young man to be president.” He made the remark while addressing the ongoing debate about age, competence, and leadership effectiveness in Nigerian politics.

He explained that leadership should not be judged primarily by age but by performance indicators, track records, and measurable outcomes. According to him, data available on political figures provides clearer insight into their governance capacity than assumptions based on youthfulness.

Oladeji referenced Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a leader with extensive political experience and strategic influence, noting that such attributes can play a significant role in navigating complex governance challenges.

In contrast, he pointed to concerns surrounding Yahaya Bello, stating that available data and observable outcomes from his tenure raise questions about the effectiveness of his leadership despite his relatively young age.

He emphasized that Nigeria’s political space requires competence, adaptability, and the ability to respond to evolving economic and social realities, rather than focusing solely on generational change.

The data strategist further argued that while young leaders are important for the future, their emergence must be backed by credible performance metrics and proven administrative capacity.

He also noted that voters are increasingly becoming more analytical, paying attention to governance records, policy impacts, and leadership patterns before making electoral decisions.

Oladeji concluded by stressing that the future of Nigeria’s leadership depends on informed choices, where citizens prioritize capability and results over sentiment or demographic appeal.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
